LuminareSoft FZE is responsible for personal information handled through this website and our business and pro bono enquiries. This notice covers visitors and people who contact us. Personal data processed for a client as part of a project is also governed by the relevant service agreement and data-processing terms.

Information we handle
Information you send us. When you email us, we receive your email address, name and any contact, organisation, project or cause details and attachments you choose to provide. Our contact and support buttons open your email application; there is no website form that submits your message automatically. Sharing information is voluntary, but we may need contact and project details to respond.
Connection and security information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, request times and security events. Your selected language is stored in your browser as described below.
Please send only what is needed to explain your request. Avoid sending passwords, identity documents, health information or other sensitive information, including details about beneficiaries of a cause, unless we have agreed a suitable way to receive it. Share another person’s information only when you are authorised to do so.
Why we use information
We use information to answer enquiries, assess pro bono requests, discuss or deliver requested services, maintain correspondence, protect the website and meet legal obligations. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not use this website for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Where the UAE Federal Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) applies, we rely on consent unless a statutory exception permits the processing, such as necessary steps at your request towards a contract, performance of a contract, or compliance with legal obligations. Consent can be withdrawn by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Where EU or UK GDPR applies, the relevant grounds are steps towards or performance of a contract for requested services, legal obligations for required records, and our legitimate interests in answering general business correspondence and keeping the site secure, balanced against your rights. We obtain consent for processing that requires it. Other applicable local privacy laws may provide additional protections.
Cookies & browser storage
This website does not use advertising trackers, tracking pixels or visitor-analytics cookies. It does not load embedded social-media feeds. No optional tracking is activated by browsing the site, so there is currently no optional-cookie consent banner. If we introduce technology requiring consent, we will explain it and ask before activating it, with a way to refuse and later withdraw consent.
Your language preference
When you choose a language, we save ls-lang in this website’s local browser storage to remember English, Arabic or Chinese on later visits. It contains only the language code, not a unique visitor identifier, and is not automatically sent to our server. It remains until you change the language or clear the saved preference or your browser’s site data.
Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security mechanisms to deliver the site or prevent abuse. These are separate from advertising or optional analytics. You can also manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings; blocking necessary storage may affect some functions.
Who receives information
Information may be accessed by authorised people working for LuminareSoft and providers needed to operate the site and handle enquiries, including Cloudflare for hosting and security and our email-service providers for correspondence. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where necessary for legal obligations or legal claims. Access should be limited to the relevant purpose.
We do not sell personal information collected through this website or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is no sale or advertising sharing for a Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of. Cloudflare explains its own processing in its privacy policy.
International processing
We operate from the UAE. Hosting and email services may process information in other countries, including countries in Cloudflare’s global network, whose laws may differ from yours. Transfers must meet applicable UAE and other relevant transfer requirements. Where required, these include recognised adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards, such as EU standard contractual clauses and UK transfer terms. Contact us for details of relevant destinations and safeguards or to request a copy of applicable safeguards.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on why information is needed. Enquiry correspondence is kept for handling the request and necessary follow-up; project and business records may need to be kept for the engagement, applicable accounting or legal obligations, and the establishment or defence of legal claims. Hosting and security records depend on the provider’s retention settings and the time needed to investigate incidents. Information should be deleted or anonymised when those purposes no longer require it. The language preference lasts as explained above. You can ask us about the retention criteria for your information.
Your rights & requests
Depending on the law that applies, you may request information about processing and recipients, access to or a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing. You may withdraw consent at any time. Where applicable, you may use an authorised agent, appeal a refusal and exercise your rights without unlawful discrimination. These rights can have legal conditions or exceptions.
Email mesam@luminare-soft.com with your request. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm your identity or an agent’s authority. We will respond within the time required by the applicable law and explain any permitted extension or refusal. Please do not send identity documents unless we request them through a suitable channel.
You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority, including the UAE Data Office where the federal UAE law applies, your local supervisory authority in the EEA, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or another authority with jurisdiction. You do not have to contact us first to exercise a right to complain.
Security & younger visitors
We use HTTPS and security controls to protect the website. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. This website is intended for business and community enquiries from adults, not for collecting children’s information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can assess and address it.
External links & changes
Social-media and other external links take you to independent services only when you choose to follow them. Their own privacy notices apply there. We may update this notice when our practices or legal requirements change and will revise the date above. Where required, we will give additional notice or obtain fresh consent before changing the relevant processing.
